Summary
Renewal risk is only useful if the right people see it in the systems they already monitor. Email alone often fails at scale; channel-based notifications and HTTPS JSON webhooks let procurement and legal wire Contrax into Slack, Microsoft Teams, or tools like Zapier and Make.
When to use which channel
- Email — default owner notifications; best for formal audit trails.
- Slack — fast visibility for US-centric engineering and GTM stacks.
- Microsoft Teams — common in Microsoft 365-heavy enterprises, especially in Europe.
- HTTPS webhook — generic
POSTJSON for internal services, ServiceNow-style integrations, or automation platforms.
Payload basics (webhook)
Contrax sends a stable JSON envelope with contrax.eventVersion, contrax.event, contractId, contractNumber, daysUntil, and kind (expiration or non_renewal). See the public reference at https://usecontrax.com/docs/reminder-webhooks.
Governance
Webhook URLs must be HTTPS. Workspace admins should treat connector URLs and shared webhook secrets like credentials—rotate when people change roles, and scope automation endpoints to least privilege.
